I am pleased to announce a few updates! ScarletMambo.com has a few improvements
The new Photos page on the top menu works seamlessly with Facebook Photos. If you like the layout of Facebook’s albums, then you will be pleased to notice that the Photos are displayed in the same fashion.
The new Videos page on the top menu displays a video gallery from Youtube. Now you can see our Scarlet Mambo videos directly from this site.
The Dance Group page now shows all the members of the Scarlet Mambo team. New additions are Lisa, Lyne, Nadya and Luis.
Visit our other locations of Scarlet Mambo on the web: Facebook, Myspace and Youtube. The aim of Scarlet Mambo is to be an information source and social portal for Salsa dancers.
The new intermediate Salsa class will start on Tuesday, March 25th 2008. Register on the web! For Rutgers students, it’s cheap (not expensive)! For non-students it’s still kinda cheap (not expensive).
I can tell you about Scarlet Mambo, or I can show you instead. A picture is worth a thousand words, right? So how about twenty pictures and music? How many words is that worth?
Scarlet Mambo has been very active during the last couple of months. Teaching private classes and performing! These are videos of December 2007, January and February 2008. A few more videos are in the works and will be up soon.
This is a composite video of two Salsa performances by the Scarlet Mambo Girls at Mario B’s Salsa Social and UMDNJ (Univ Of Dentistry) Dinner Gala. The name of the Song is “Pesadilla” by Ocho Y Media (a French Salsa Band based in Paris). This video is featured in Ocho Y Media’s official blog !!!
On this video, Scarlet Mambo performs its veteran routine “Otra Rumba” in Princeton, NJ at the Central Jersey Dance Social.
On Saturday, January 26th 2008, the Scarlet Mambo All-Girl Team made its debut with the Salsa performance “Pesadilla” at Mario B’s Salsa Social in Jersey City, New Jersey. This medium-tempo song expresses that life without Salsa would become a Nightmare (Pesadilla). And after watching this performance, one can clearly feel the theme of the song.
This team is made up of Lyne, Camila, Nadya and Lisa. The girls looked as beautiful as ever in their black and silver outfits.
As if this was not enough, Scarlet Mambo also performed its seasoned number “Otra Rumba” (Gina, Tee, Camila and Dany). This video shows a little preview of “Pesadilla”.

As a Salsa dance instructor at Rutgers University, Dany will start teaching the Spring 2008 dance courses on February 1st, 2008. Dany’s Schedule of Salsa Classes is now available! Online registration takes 2 minutes!
The courses include Salsa Intro, Salsa Intermediate (level I), Salsa Styling (Afro-Cuban Movement), and Advanced Salsa Choreography.
It took a little while, but finally the photos are up. Scarlet Mambo performed at Nova Terra during the “Marigold Fundraising Dinner” hosted by the non-profit organization Lazos America Unida , Rutgers University and Nova Terra on Sunday, November 4th, 2007.
Scarlet Mambo performed its “Otra Rumba” choreography and a brand new semi-improvised “rueda” salsa performance (3 couples).
Dany will start teaching a new 5 week course on Tuesday, Oct 30th, 2007. The class level is intermediate and participants must know basic steps and the “Cross-body lead”.
