Good Read. Why do you say no baby powder?? Sticky floors are horrible! I know it can damage some dance floors and it will mess up dance shoes. But if the floor is already damaged or its something more durable like linoleum I just add some powder in a corner and slick the shoes a little bit.

I just finished the level 1 course and feel I have learned a lot. Prior to taking this class I never danced salsa in my life, well I’ve tried a couple of times but just couldn’t get the steps and the beat to match so I wouldn’t even bother to try. After the level 1 course I feel confident enough to get on the dance floor and not look like a fool anymore. Looking forward to the level 2 class! Thanks Dany and Camila!!

Thanks for the great explanation.

I have a question about the timing of the 1 in ON 2 style.

A teacher recently told me that after the first one step, the following steps are a little rushed so actually land on the syncopated 8-AND and 4-AND. So the steps would be 8-AND, 2, 3, pause, 4-AND, 5, 6 pause.

Is something you have heard of before?
